Overview
For this project I was tasked with designing a logo for a university targeting people ages 35-65 for “encore careers” or jobs that people often pursue after their main career. We had freedom of the design but the color pallet was set on shades of blue, yellow and grey.
Initial Sketches
I started my design on paper, sketching out some ideas I had and trying to use educational elements that would relate to an older audience.

Logo Design
Continuing my design process I move on to Illustrator to start working on the core design and colors of the logo, as well as finding the right font for my design. I ended up using the start shaped logo because of its motif to success and achievement, alongside its use of the bright yellow helping it stand out.
Final Design
The final design felt very fitting for the design brief, incorporated their colors well, and works well on black or white backgrounds. Overall the logo was revived very well, stood out because of its shape, and convoyed the right message in a unique way.

Collaborating With Other Designers
After finishing our designs, me and the other designers of my group worked together to create a branding media guide. We chose another designers logo for this part of the project to keep our work consistent. I was tasked with creating the social media mock-ups for the media guide and used this designers logo, colors, typography, and images.
Social Media Mock-Ups
These mock-ups needed to stay consistent with the chosen design. I created a social media icon, banner, two forms of Instagram posts, and Pinterest ad using the style guide provided from the other designer.
